Fundraisers

It takes a lot of effort to run a successful band program, and it wouldn't be possible without fundraising. The fundraising not only supports the band, but it also gives an opportunity to form vital friendships with the community and develop long-term sponsors. Here are some of the fundraising events that we have held recently.

Dine to Donate

Leo Bands is pleased to find support from several local restaurants who host Dine-to-Donate events, giving back to the band program a percentage of their profits.

Chicken Sales

Leo Band partners with High's Catering to sell BBQ chicken at the four-way stop in Leo. Students often play their instruments as they attract hungry shoppers, all the while earning valuable volunteer band points for band.

Java & Jazz

Annually, Leo Bands concludes its Jazz Band season with a casual, coffee-n-delectable-themed concert featuring the season’s competition tunes, surprise additions, jazz combo hits, and highlight performances from soloists.

Annual Fundraisers

In addition to the underwriting Leo Bands receives from Sponsors, the band program also benefits from the following key fundraisers, made possible through the active participation of family, friends, and fans.

Snap! Raise – Using Snap! Raise’s online fundraising platform and user-friendly mobile app, this annual fundraiser has helped the band reach out to donors through text, email, and social media. With a proven track record of success, Snap! Raise has helped Leo Bands raise thousands of dollars over the past several years.

RaiseRight - Leo Bands AND parents have benefited from through its partnership with RaiseRight. Parents buy eGift cards from RaiseRight at full value from 750+ brands, earning up to 20%, half of which is applied to Leo Bands and half to the student’s account. Leo Bands has benefited every year from this program; and many parents have been able to apply hundreds of RaiseRight dollars to their band fees.
