Marching Band

The “Roar of the Lions” dominates the field in ISSMA Class C contests, performing competitively and reaching the semi-state level every year for more than 15 years. Students in the marching band ROAR on the field at all home football games and inspire excellence at every level of the Leo Bands program, beginning in 6^th grade. 

Here is a quick overview of the Marching Band season:

• In April/May, the next season’s marching band show music will be announced, student leadership for all sections (including drum major and guard) will be selected, and after-school practices will begin.
• In July/August, students will attend Band Camp, school will begin, and after-school rehearsals will resume.
• From September through early November, students will participate in after-school practices, play for Friday night football games, and compete at weekend contests that will eventually culminate in competitions at the state level.
